I made this up from a recipe I saw to make it an "original" recipe. It uses the country style spare ribs, preferably boneless.

4 - 5 lbs Country style ribs
1/2 can of Dr. Pepper
1 bottle of your favorite bbq sauce - divided

Put 1/2 can Dr. Pepper and 1 /2 cup of your favorite bbq sauce in a crockpot with the ribs.

Cook on low for 6 - 8 hours, stirring ribs in sauce occassionally.

After the 6 - 8 hours, remove ribs from crockpot and cover with the remaining bbq sauce and brown up on the grill.

Goes well with coleslaw or my special potato salad.

I'm going to have to give this one a try Dave, the Dr. Pepper sounds good.

If you go boneless pork ribs, you can shred it instead of putting on the bbq and make pulled pork sandwiches. ;)
