Fished Pelican today. Turned out to be a nice day weather wise and even better fish wise. Snow on the surrounding mountains looked cool.

Met up with okie and headed out to the lake. Arrived at 9:30 fished until 12:30. Fast action with 12 cutts to the boat and 4 LDRs. Two 23"+ and one 22"+ Mainly slot fish...kept three to eat.

Custom painted white flatfish u20 was the hot lure... spoons used were white with orange dots and Thomas bleeding frog.

Thanks Bill , it was fun as usual.

Boy oh boy, Okie got to take a fish home.............. that made his day !!

Thanks for the pictures and glad that the weather turned out so nice for you two.
Always nice to be able to sit back and relax and let the little motor do all the work.

Really liked that first picture of the snow on the hills and the deep blue water.......... that's a keeper.
Way to hang in there.

Glad to see you had a good day on the water and plenty of action to boot.:bananacheese: It is nice to finally get a boater's report. You can find plenty of reports from fly fishers, but few from boaters this time of year.

Thanks, fun stuff! I've always had good luck trolling fast with big spoons like the one in your picture.

These are the two flatfish u20 custom white. Both are vintage and came with the double hook set-up which I changed.

Notice the difference in the two....one is the regular lure and the other one is fatter and has a hump at the bill. Looks kinda like a mag lip(which catch fish too). Good luck finding the fat one.

Rumor has it that the vintage lures have a different action than the modern flatfish.
