Launched at about 6:45 and made the mistake of going to Hell's Kitchen. Our first drop, John caught a beautiful deep red 23 inch cutt on a Tui chub 4 inch Apex. That was it for the next hour and a half until we decided to head back west. Saw almost no marks on the graph all thru the kitchen. Ran over to the south nets and started catching fish. There must have been at least 100 guys on ladders on each side of the nets. We had our best luck outside the nets in 60 to 70 feet of water. Best depths were 15 and 30 feet OTW. Best lures were all bright colors -- watermelon Apex, bright chartreuse/orange 4 inch Silver Horde spoon, and a garish big blue and yellow 4 inch Williams Wabbler! Ended with 28 to the boat -- 2 about 15 inches -- all the rest between 18 and 23 1/2 inches! Weather was very nice -- 25 degrees at launch and about 60 degrees when we took out with a 5 mph wind most of the day.

Thanks for the info. Did you notice a lot of ladders at Pelican?

3/26? You went back in time to post a report that will happen 3 days from now. Creepy. Anyway nice fish! I gotta get out there soon, since I think I'm going to be in Death Valley for the Snifferfest.

Me too! The 15 day weather report is just now starting to show the forecast. I'm not putting stock in it yet.

hooks and i have found that what the nws predicts at 0600 is sometimes not what we find at 1000.
you'll never know until you get to the lake, or what it will be like in 30 minutes.
be safe

Wed the 6th looks like rain and snow going over the summit but clear at the lake. I don't think chains will be needed but I'll throw them in just in case.

Awesome that you give reports in the future. Now I know around the nets will be to crowded. :tears_of_joy:
