Hey Guys,

Thinking about going taking my Dad and Grandpa to Collins tomorrow to do some trolling. Any recent reports on water condition? Last thing I heard from last weekend was looking like chocolate milk. Has it started to settle yet?

Thanks,

Just got home from Collins. Water is 5.5' from full and 49-54 degrees depending on time of day and depth. Visibility at the ramp looks like maybe 2'+ but in some other areas not as good. I could always see my trolling motor when deployed but at times the lower end of my main motor and prop were not as visible. I did not even try for trout. I talked to one other boater and he had not caught any trout by late morning. We targeted bass and did OK with 10 total fish with the largest going 3 pounds.

There are a couple of full sized trees floating around in the lake but overall not enough debris to cause too much difficulty if you want to troll just keep your eyes open. Very few small sticks or at least where I was there wasn't a lot of small stuff floating.
