Killer rod. By chance you ever make a swimbait rod?

Nice looking rod. Where do you buy your blanks? I have used Mudhole mostly but I have catalogs from a couple of others. Not really looking to build anything right now just window shopping.

I have made quite a few on bushidos, and a dwb rod for chucking wood.
Also right now, wrapping 2 noodle blanks for shad fishing and another steelhead drift rod.

Mudhole and get bit outdoors.
Get bit has frustrated me this year, their inventory is never right and you end up waiting on parts.
Also use anglers workshop for any batson blanks or alps seats

QAR, beautiful rod. I like rods that match the color of my boat. LOL!

No problem bringing in a Salmon with that 10.5' rod?

On my boat the Reeler would have to back-up all the way to the bow so the Netter can reach the fish at the stern http://www.ifish.net/board/images/smilies/flowerred.gif .

At any event that rod is a beauty http://www.ifish.net/board/images/smilies/applause.gif .

Seon I don't troll for salmon but I troll at lot for trout. I have 10 and 11 foot noodle rods that I like a lot. I have had some guys who don't do well when landing trout over 3 pounds with the longer rods but once you get used to them it isn't really a problem My best on those long rods was 8 pounds and I think I netted that one by myself. Just keep the rod tip up and it all works out. It is also a real kick to fight fish on the noodle rods. When I lived in Monterey Co. we used to mooch for salmon with 10' fly rods tied up as a baitcaster and it worked great. We used 10 weight Tarpon rod blanks.

Not yet I think the length really helps in a barbless fishery too.
I like them, but our ocean boat sits very high in the water and im a sucker for the bendo.
Their downfall is sliding 10' + of rod across the deck to clip into downrigger release

10'6 to 12'3 rods are the norm in the PNW for trolling for salmon. The key is to LIFT LIFT LIFT LIFT LIFT while someone nets.

Is that the SA 1235-2 ? if so that thing would be awesome. I built a rainshadow rx7 12' its a 12-25 but i love it. I think they discontinued the blank though.. will have to build a NFC for a replacement if need be.

That's the 1,
Looks like anglers workshop has some in stock. Out everywhere else. Unfortunately nfc website says new site coming 2016... wonder if their still doing business or only under batson.
