Well... we got to the lake around 9-10 pm. Decided to explore for a new spot in pitch black instead of going to our usual. my friend was leaning over the front of the boat with a maglight on lookout for trees when he goes, ".........what's the depth here?!?!?!?!?" So I look at the finder, "F*%^ three feet!!!" slam it into reverse almost putting him over the front of the boat. So we said forget it and went to our usual spot.

We got there and tied up and casted out. I had just put on my catfish mix when not halfway through the first song Doobie Brothers - Black Water my friend sees the bell on my slacked line slowly lifting up. so we watch it to just make sure its not the boat moving then it takes off and flies up so hard that it goes above the pole and comes back down wrapping around the pole. Anyways set the hook and began the fight for a nice 13 lb'r. My friend and I were thinking it was going to be a good night, well we waited an hour and landed another one during Crosby Stills Nash and Young - Southern Cross, bigger fish than the first. So we were pretty happy.... then we went until 8 am without another bite :( We should have moved after a bit but we were too cold/tired/lazy. I ended up landing both fish tonight and my friend not so lucky. Usually it's him landing the fish and me hooking the big one that gets off at the boat.

First one.

Wow, I remember your humble beginnings, from bullheads in a pond, to monster cats. You really took the ball and ran with it. Congratulations. Nice pictures too. Keep the good reports coming, hope you get a 20+ pounder... if you haven't already.
