Been hitting the river every so often and getting a few casts in while waking the little one.

Forced myself to abandon crawlers and use eggs because they are much cleaner, easier to bait up and won't die. Seemed like a smart solution for takin the kid out.

In 5 very brief trips (15 min or less)I got no love.

Just went back out with crawlers and got bit within the first few casts.

Also put the 11'6" loomis noodle rod to use and pulled a healthy brown on a bobber/jig set up like steelhead.https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20170923/e7b972fe3f9647243b8798f1b1fdab21.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20170923/6fc9a66b21bcd4821ef751b9c5eae9aa.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20170923/1aa166d405dc8a9be5561aaab5ae20f7.jpg

Good job. I took my daughter out fishing and hiking at that age a lot and now at 6 and 1/2. She can hold her own whether it's on the river or in the boat. But I still have to stop fishing from time to time so I can help catch bugs, or chase butterflies.

Nice work! Seems that jigging has been the way to go with trout.
