Took a little trip up to Davis for some catching today...25 degree with icy shores upon arrival. Fairly slow compared to past years but managed a few into shore..Powerbait was the bait of choice today on all American color. Didn't like floating crawlers, Rainbow or Cartruese PB.https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20181117/37101c3a44cd104e0630bc9427b15a51.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20181117/d62ae384c72eddee7ff86a25ac59a253.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20181117/105612e66496fbd3dfb0ec2c8da583f3.jpg

Fished Davis on Wednesday and Thursday this past week. Trolled from Lightning Tree up toward Fairview. Had figured that fish would be shallow as in past trips this time of year but found that trolling in the shallower water caught nothing but weeds. Ended up working water around 15' to 20' deep to be clear of weeds with a 120' setback. Flashers and PB trolled slow and fairly deep did the trick. Brought 15 to the boat, broke off several others and had a few that never hooked up. Fish ran from 15" to 22" and in real good shape and scrappy. Cold in the AM with several feet of thin ice around the shoreline. I was barely able to launch my cartop at Lightning Tree, definitely not enough water to launch off a trailer.
