hit the mid today with ivan, we landed 13, 12 on u-20 and I
on black ladderback lyman. 2 keepers, most were between
20 and 24. there were a whole lot of big ones all around
the dock, first time I've seen that this year. I think ivan landed 11 of them.
thanks ivan for a wonderful day on the water.
be safe

Thanks to Okie for all his expertise and kid advise. On a 4 day trip at the Mid. 13 yesterday and 20 today to 24.
Smooth lake and blue skies. Shasta Rainbow Spoons and various GVF Pyramid Speedo lures. Blue and pink were hot! Great day! Thanks again Okie!!

Sounds like a perfect day to me.

I've heard bits and pieces about the hatchery practices, but don't know a lot. Do they release the adults after they spawn them at the ramp? Just wondering if that might be why they were there, but really don't know much about it.

I did launch at Eagle Lake one late October. While I was tying up the boat to the dock, a school of minnows was balled up in 6" of water on the ramp. Quick movement out of the corner of my eye and a nice rainbow darted out from under the dock grabbed a mouthful and spun back around with half its back out of the water. It's not legal to fish off the dock, but what about your boat trailer?

Nice report as always. Keep-em coming.

It was a good day. Nothing big but a lot of fun! You cant fish 100 feet from the dock so no trailer. Here are a few pictures.
