Hi.
I live in Miami (no trout! :-(, but I grew up fishing in Sequoia/Kings Canyon Nat'l Park. My "go-to" spot is the Upper Kings River below Boyden Cavern, when we visit every summer.
But this year we're going to go to Hume Lake in mid-December, when the road down to the Upper Kings and Cedar Grove is closed.

So I'm wondering if the Kaweah (Marble Fork, maybe?) is still accessible in mid-December.
Is it accessible from Lodgepole?
If it is, is the fishing even worth it in mid-December, or are the trout sluggish and just trying to chill-out (pun intended) and survive?
Thanks!
