That people are catching catfish and other fish in flooded parking lots?

I heard of people fishing at parking lots and that really blows me away.

Kinda make sence too why the fish would be there too.

1. Current
2. Food could be push in there

And those the only good reason why i think the fish might go there.

I wanna go try it but I wanna hear if people are doing that type of stuff.

So yeah if you know anything about parking lot fishing

Fill me in with some info

Thanks alot and fish on ;D

Worms are coming up from the cracks and edges of the parking lot to try to breath. Water is storming underneath the soil, pushing this food up, therefore, catfish feeding frenzy.

hey hero, it is true about catching catfish out of the parking lots, now ive only tried it at nights landing where the boat ramp is and have had great success in there, also if you go up hwy 45 towards colusa, go to pump 108 on the river and you can catch some there as well, make sure you fish the river side though, clams worms sardines etc. will get them. what i see as the real reason for the fish to hold in those spots is not only the food source being flooded out but there is no current or very little of it when the river is so high. those cats as well as other fish will get out of the main current and hold in these spots so the fishing is generally good at those spots, so give it a try and see what happens. hey m.r. that was funny did you get my mess on the rain board...boat is ready to go..

I drove into Knights Landing ramp this morning, the water level is 1 foot below the handle of the outhouse :-X , that's right, the crappers were left in the parking lot!
this is the first time I have seen them leave them, so I would practice catch and release from now on. :P

How deep is the water in the parking lots?

ctsron

Being it is up to the handle on the outhouses :-X and they are approx.3 foot above the parking lot I would guess around 6-8 foot depending the location.

Panfish, all a catfish needs is enough water to swim in. I have caught them in flood water 1ft. deep lots of times. For those that dout you can catch them in flooded fields just go right on and think that. ;) It just makes the good spots less crowed ;D
