View Full Version : How do you fillet a shad?

I don't have much experience filleting anything for that matter. It seems like shad would be especially difficult since they are so tall and skinny. Anybody have any tips or maybe a website for help?

I want to fillet lots of shad this season so I can use my new smoker.

Just barely, I am actually going out today to road 48 to check it out again.. I'll give you guys a report when I get back this afternoon or tonight.

just put salt pepper lemon and fire it up in the grill til outside is all burnt....remove the burnt skin and start eating it in a pattern...the pattern is crucial because once u go out of order all the bones start poping and when that happen you can't eat it anymore cuz you'll be eeating bones...
