Goin out to Hercules park and gonna fish from the other side of the tracks. I have been hearing good things about Pinole Shores, but this is closer to home. Bait will be Pile Worms, maybe some grass shrimp(catch a sturgy). I will have a full report when I return......critic me if need be, seriously!

I'm out there all the time in rodeo. Was there today from 11am to 6pm..nothing. It was really windy today and the water was muddy. Only one guy hooked onto a pretty nice size sturgeon saw it jump, but when the sturgy rolled it snapped his line.

sorry bout the late reply, didnt get to go there, too many people out on a sunday (who woulda guessed, lol) went to Eckley Pier in Crockett but again too crowded only stayed for 2 hours, no 1 caught during those hours and the tide was low and still moving out. Gonna try and get out there a little later today(Hercules Park), Ill keep yall updated

^^ what time did you go to rodeo? It was packed around 1 or 2 then fish n game showed up and a bunch of people left. I'm assuming many of them did not have license. The fish n game caught one family keeping undersized stripers. Also where is hercules park? I live right off sycamore in hercules, the water behind where I live seems to have no fish or I just don't have any luck.

Consider which tide you're fishing buddy. Just because it's a good spot does not necessarily mean you will catch em. I'll pulled out some nice ones in your backyard before. I had my license too, just in case you wanted to check ;).

Ive fished high and low tide there with no luck. I soaked all types of diff bait too but no luck. I always see a group of guys out there mainly plugging, but don't know if they ever caught any.

Plugging is a GREAT way of enticing linesiders out there, but I love it when bullheading is in force. *Good numbers *and big fish can't beat that. *Jerrdirte is dead on about the tides, a tidebook is probably more important than the type of bait. *Ever do any odd hour fishing out there ::) *can pay dividends.

Anything going on up there? Thinking about taking a drive from the city to play with some real fishies. Heard it was popping a little while back. Getting tired of waiting for live bait and stickin pogies.

I was out there in rodeo on friday night from 10pm to 1am fishing the out going tide. I was using pile worms and anchovies didn't catch anything but got a few nibbles. My lady had a nice bite the pole dipped but she didn't get to her rod fast enough to set the hook and the fish was gone.

Fished San Pablo Bay on 04/21/09 for 3 sturgeon from 42 inches to 47 and quite a few starry flounders. Water was a little brown but fishable! Sturgeon triangle is hopping now! 8-)
