got skunked but did see a dead seal floating around the pier maybe that had something to do wit the zero. saw a couple of smallies caught and thrown back. well maybe next time

were you fishing off the pier ? The shoreline is better fishing, from the marina down to ozol pier. It's a bit soon, but should take off in a big way in a few weeks. If shore fishing you must hit an incoming tide otherwise it is pointless.

I guess the striper fishing is definitely picking up in the Carquinez Straits. *The fishing report in Thursdays paper said people are catching stripers in the 8-13lb range from the pier and shoreline mainly using live bullheads and shrimp baits. *I went out there on Wed and fished the incoming to outgoing tide for ten undersized stripers, the largest at 16 in, on anchovies.

Looks like the Fall bite is picking up! Did you try plugging the shoreline?
