Where is my best bet to go to find the Sturgeon? I live in Sac and am looking for the best closest place to go... I have a 14' alum valco...

Downstream of Ward's Landing boat launch in Colusa area would be a good start, find yourself a nice hole with sandy bottom to fish overnite. Or launch Knights Landing and go upstream to a likely spot. Not sure I would leave truck at that launch overnite.

fish killer-

From Sac... Montezuma's is pretty close. You can launch from Beldons Landing no problem. Go up or out... Good luck.

sac is a large area, i live on the north end and ill be doing most of al my next trips for sturgeon out of verona and driving up river from there. not sure how fast u can go up river but only takes me 10 -15 minutes to make knights landing. we hooked up to a 58 incher last saturday, ill be back out there just above knights landing again this friday night /saturday morning if u pass a blue NR stop buy and i can probably point u to some holes in the area. If your on the south end of town rio vista probably going to be closer for u

Hey Ric-- I am not sure. We go to lovey's quite a bit, or used to anyway-- was it at salmon season?? We only fish up there for salmon, haven't got into the striper or sturgeon up there yet.

We meet a lot of people all the time. I am not sure. Were we camping at loveys, either in a tent or an overhead camper w/ fish painted on it??

I have to leave town today, but I will check back in late this afternoon

OK, I thought you were just playing around until I saw that there are two with the same name now, just written differently. This is going to confuse me. [smiley=seestars.gif]
