Hey all.Need some feedback from all you fishfinder junkies.

What setting do you guys with dual freq tranducers like to run for scanning for sturgeon?
I have a older garmin unit on one of my boats and it has 50/200 khz with 500 watts rms.I have been running it in 200 but wouldnt it be better to run in 50 due to a bigger cone(40 degr). That would make a cone about 2/3 of the depth of water im in.The 200 is narrower but returns are clear and more precise for bottom structure.I dont need to much detail for bottom structure but would rather just scan for fish and have fairly accurate returns for depth and drastic bottom changes.

I know alot has been dicussed in the past about fishfinders but wanted your guys take on dual tranducer freqs.Fyi I fish in waters that range from 30ft to 75 ft from martinez to pitt.Deep waters.
