Saw in a earlier post to leave roe for sturgeon uncured , why or why not ? I discovered roe last year and have used nothing but cured and it seems we catch more fish than most , OK a lot has to do with location and I'm not talking - yet ! Hint : Montezuma Slough . Seems to me cured roe and the way it milks would last longer on the hook , if I'm not bit in a hour or so I pull in the bait and give it a light squeeze and were good to go , fresh milking bait again .

From what I have read cureing it adds a unnatural scent that turns sturgies off. But, I have used both and caught fish on both. I have caught more on non cured, but then agian I used it more. It sounds like another one of those preferance things :-/
