Cabelas has the Bottom Line 320 on sale for $119.99, I mostly trout/striper fish. Does anyone have any input on the Bottom Line units? Otherwise I will spend $200 plus on the Eagle model.

thanks
Ron

I had a bottom line unit, got rid of it due to it having a lot less pixel count and features that didn't work. I have a Lowrance 19c and a Lowrance 135 and couldn't be happier. If you just need to know where the bottom is the Bottom Line would work fine, if you need to interpret whats down there, buy something else. JMHO, Mike

:o wow, that is $62.99 cheaper than cabelas right now! That could pay for my new net ;D. Thanks guys, the majority is pointing toward the Eagle models.

Whoever posted on the bottom line probably had a very low end model. The specs on the current ones look great. I hear they are more popular in other states. I considered the same unit but ended up with a Lowrance instead. Very happy with the Lowrance. I would really recomend considering one.

The Eagle unit you mentioned I have heard good things about as well.

Yes, the specs look good on the bottom line I had one and returned it, just did not preform in the water like the specs made me think... not even close to the X-135 I now have but the price is much more on the x-135. thanks FW for leting my swap..

Thats why I decided on Lowrance. I new it would be a quality unit. I got the x51 onsale for about the same price as the Bottom Line 320. I was concerned that the BL 320 had better specs but in the end I went with the Lowrance because I knew I'd be happy with it. The x51 is a low end unit and has been replaced by the x52 that runs about $200.

Like I said go Lowrance. In comparison the Eagle unit I used to have was almost as good. Didn't have as many features or pixels but did find the fish just fine.
