Just ordered the LCX-25c was wondering what was the best fishing maps to get. I think they have a fishing hot spots is it any good? Is there one that has the Sacramento river and lakes all on one disc?

I think you have to start with mapcrate it does not show fishing hot spots but you can create a detailed map of the area your fishing.I have all the sac river from start to finish on one map,the only thing I wished it had is the boat ramps; which it does not show,I think I need a navionics for that ???Look on e-bay for your mapping needs you can pick em up brand new a little cheaper.

Map Create 6.3 isn't the only map.
Lowrance sells a Fishing Hot Spots Elite for $99

Navionics sells a Fishing HotMaps for $129. http://www.navionics.com/HMPremium.asp

Both have lake contours and are very detailed and are available for your unit. I have the Navionics on my Raymarine and I love it. I will say that a few lakes are off position and they're working on fixing that.

These are lake maps and don't include the rivers. I believe that you'll have to get a second map. I'm not sure which will provide the Sacramento River. It might be on one of the Coastal region maps.

I highly recommend you look at the Navionics map chips. I'm on my second lowrance unit (26C), and the detail runs circles around the lowrance products - worth the money.
