In NV I guess you have to register your float tube if you use a trolling motor.

I just registered my kickboat because I have a trolling motor. The DMV website says ANY vessel with a motor (even electric) must be registered. Lakes like Calero and Lexington require it, that's how I found out it needed to be registered.

Is there a certain formula for the boat registration fee? I just know it's cheap but I never understood how they calculate it.

I think it goes by feet in boat length. I have my boat reg. in front of me and it is by length. Also HP of motor. BTW Yes you have to register any motor driven boat. I know I found out the hard way. I had an 8ft inflatable with a 4hp motor and it had never been registered. I got a ticket from F&G. MUST REGISTER ALL BOATS WITH MOTORS!!!!
