Has anyone been out off Calif City for salmon lately, and if so have they had any luck??

Soon. Real soon. The fish are thick off of Rocky and Dux. So is the bait. So I would assume that when the big tides back off the fish will move in. Good luck out there. Enjoy the cheese and crackers with your wine.

I fished out the gate last week, here's what I found. Ton's of bait, hundreds of boats, very few Salmon. I fished Calif. City the week before, tons of bait, no boats, no Salmon. I think the Salmon are sneaking through during the night and we missed them ;) ;D has anybody considered that it might be over already, how many years have we "waited" for the "big rush" only to find there wasn't any? It sure was great early in the year though 8)

I'm fishing dux today. I will send back a report. The last three days the bite has been great. It will probably suck today though. Bad luck. This year my salmon fever/ sick days have been el skunkos on the water. I should have a post by 7 or so.

With all the fish still being caught up north and so few in the rivers, I'm thinking (and hoping) things are just late this year.

I suck! Three hits. All three dropped the weights. No fish Saw some fish get caught. For the most part, the people I talked to said I should have been here yesterday.

The fish are just plain late this year. The bite was late in the ocean and it's been late and few in the rivers. The problem with late fish is they don't hang around. They just blow up river and get the job done. I am thinking the best action in CC could be at the end of this month.

Here's the rumor I'm starting ;D the Salmon are done, they even snuck up the rivers at night and everyone missed them, I guess it's time to start talking about next year ;) Ok, I'll give Bogeda one more shot to prove me wrong, then it's Tuna and Rock Fish only. ;D

I thought I was going to California City tomorrow, but I'm going to go to Isleton instead so I don't have to flush my motor and rinse the boat.
