was on the water and fishing at 7am. we went west off the head and trolled for 2 hours with one scratch. Then at 10/8 we caught two within ten minutes. The fish were good size one 20lb and one 12lb. We trolled around for another hour for nada. So we decided to go off the head and get some rockfish. We got a total of 10 smaller rock cod. The salmons came on a clear RSK with a plain silver dodger and a Knowzone flasher with a green FBR.

gone fishin

Hey 18ftseasquirrel78

Great report and way to go on your Salmon. ;D ;D If I remember correctly, 10/8 is fairly close to shore down by ten mile. As soon as the bait get close so will the Salmon. We should be able to catch them around the whistle buoy soon.

Take care and good luck...

My bad on the GPS numbers they were 18/10 we were out from the head several miles. I didnít see anyone fishing near the whistle buoy. When I was coming in from 18/10 I stopped several times to fish where I could see bait fish on the surface and a bunch of birds sitting on the water, but never got hit in those areas. The rockfish we caught were not the pretty orange ones. Dose anyone know any numbers (close to bodega) for the vermillion?
