I have the day off tomorrow (Wed.) and was wondering if anyone has been south of Bodega catching any fish. I fished Saturday and Sunday and got 4 fish between the two days at 17 and 7. I heard the bite might be picking up at 10 mile. :D

I've been lurking these boards for about a year now and this is my first post. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Brian M, give me a call on the radio tomorrow since your dad and I have the day off!

I fished North 19 mile today. Picked up two limits 143 to 26 #. We had our best bite at the northern end. Some of the boats did well down by the rest rooms and the towers. I fished 35 to 45 feet of water. shook several small keepers, it is nice to be fussy and wait for big fish. I saw two 30 + fish caught at mid 10 mile but I didn't do much there. The water was great, a little dirty but nice & flat. Go for it.

Get there early, this afternoon was SLOOOOOOOW! Despite tons and tons of bait stacked from Elephant south, very little action going on this afternoon. Arrived at the parking lot (still very full at 1pm-bad sign ), trolled 4 lines from 1:30-6:30 without a bite, except for a wayward 28" ling that was in the wrong place at the right time for us. Sounds like there were some fish caught this morning, and a few salmon and halibut this afternoon, but for the number of boats that were down there very, very little was happening. Damn full moon!

What do you mean very little was happening? I was down at the upper end of Ten Mile today and we got 6 fish by 11:00am. We didn't get into the water until about 6:45am. The bite wasn't fast and furious, but it was a very steady bite. Maybe it was an early morning bite because we caught all of our fish between 8:30am and 11:00am. All of the boats around us were always hooking up with the little shakers. We only got one shaker and it hit right on the surface. We caught a 10#,12#,14#,16#,19#, and 23#er. Very good grade of salmon I think. I heard of a 37#er caught today also. Now that's one big pig! A great day on the water. Will probably be back out on Thursday. :)

??? ???Fish King, re-read my post. I said to fish the morning (like you did) because the afternoon bite was dead. That's what I said, and that's what I meant ;).
