Anyone ever take crab from berkeley pier? Just wonder if it is worth it to get one of those round ring nets while I am going for Hali's this weekend... Any advice on crabs is huge!

They are not that big. You can't keep dungies in the bay only red rock crabs.

Are they worth bringing home to eat?

I don't know if they are in season, they can be worth it if you can get the red rock and not the dungeness. No matter how tempting do not keep the dungeness, fish and game are no joke.

I've taken them home before from that area. Here is the link to the post with the pic's. Boiled them in coconut milk. They were ok.

Ive kept rock crabs from tiburon/ft baker a few times. In comparison to the flavor of a dungeoness (and other store bought crabs) the rock crab is less sweet. Garlic and butter make up for it for me.
