Hey Fence_Man,

Thanks for the update!!

Awhile back I spoke with the GM of the new restaurant there, and he said they already have their own parking across the street.

Wow that looks awesome thanks for the update fence-man. Looks like I'll be able to launch the sea-ox no problem. I can't wait for spring!

I'm not looking forward to the new facility. I'm guessing they only put one ramp in to launch and since it is new there is going to be a huge influx of people wanting to try it. It's going to be a zoo on the good fishing weekends.

They will also have the Blackpoint ramp done in a week or so. Guess what, Marin considers making a double ramp into a single ramp with less dock space and improvement. Vote the *******s out!!!! A bunch of dumb commissioners.

double ramp same as before . but your wright more will use it I was fine with the way it was . The resturant and shops next door will be a pain and add more mess to the place

I think basil is talking about Blackpoint being reduced to one ramp and less dock space. I agree that sucks. Nothing like taking a crappy place and making it crappier.

Its been a while since I've launched from blackpoint and I haven't seen the new dock but the old ramp was hardly two lanes. When the tide was ripping it was pretty diffucult to land two boats on the docks.

blackpoint is now a single lane with new dock not shore if it is open should be soon

Did any dredging get done at Nicks Cove ? Never had a real issue with my 16' aluminum . It would be nice to just launch and not have to trim up so much and watch the bottom .

I went by to see the new launch at Nick's Cove today.
It's still not open to the public, although there was a boat tied up to the dock.
The dock is about 15-20 feet longer than it was before. There are two new ramps, and it appears that they might have done some dredging.

The ticket machine say $5.00 per vehicle on it. And its now down by the outhouses.
The new parking configuration is a little odd. You will now park heading into the hill. There isn't any parallel parking now. All of the curbs along the driving lanes are painted red.

I did see five or six boats out on the water, which was a glass-off.
I believe the herring are running now.

On Monday I will call Marin County and ask them when they plan on opening up.

More later...
