etray....good talking to you sunday. we only hit three trout, and that was after we gave up and went to the cliffs at the south ramp.

Were you toplining or using downriggers? Did you launch at the north or south ramp? Never fished this lake by boat. First time trolling it. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Think I may be soloing it tomorrow. :-/

we started at big hat, and circled out to the middle of the lake and back, before hitting the cliffs at the south ramp. we always launch at the north ramp, much better, for us at least. we had two lines topling, and our downriggers were set at 5 to 10 feet. using rapalas to start out are you best bet. (hot steel, orange, and firetiger). after that , its anybodys guess so far. the week prior, i hit a 6 lb rainbow on the hot steel.
we may be out there tomorrow....look for a forward sitting tri hull. (also monitoring channel 69)

Are they doing mussel inspection at the ramp or at the pay booth?

Been there twice in the last month on a Saturday.* There wasn't any inspection at all.* You just had to fill their form out.* I printed it ahead of time to save some time, here's the form I used* http://www.ebmud.com/services/recreation/Boat%20Inspection%20Form.pdf

broadway bait has them in stock.......but right now, i'd use the white transparent rapala over the hot steel. i'd also be using a orange rapala. the amount of activity, for us at least, skyrocketed !! using the shad scent is also a big plus.

I agree with crankbait on the oreange and gold f7 toplining,I've always had great results.Efren
