Took Gil out on my boat. Headed to Hat Island. Had first fish on in about 15 minutes on Hot Steel Rapala. Next fish was on an earthworm after about another 30 minutes.* Total of 12 fish to the boat, lost 3 others and had some pulls off of the downrigger release and no fish and one come off on a Rapala. Fairly even for the three setups getting fish. Had one rapala, one earthworm, and two humdingers. Humdingers got fish from 10 to 30 feet deep. All fish around 16 to 18 inches. Had a double north of Hat Island in the afternoon to end the day with our 9th and 10th keepers. Caught one fish by the dam.

Sounds like a great day!!! Does the fishing at Comache get better as winter sets in?

It's usually good from late fall all the way through May. Also they have a deal for 5 launches for $50, a savings of $30.

Mick,

Thank you for hosting. It was nice to pre fish a day ahead, I put Camo and GVF on some fish 11-13(Friday) [smiley=1fish0023mn.gif].

We hit a big patch of fog early morning, but it eventually lifted. Im convinced on the Shasta tackle. [smiley=a-fish.gif]
