Hey guys, I'm thinking about starting to go trout fishing again and I am wondering how Los Vaqueros and Lake Chabot are doing? Anyone been to those two lakes recently?? Any news?

Thanks Guys!

I think that the water is still too warm at chabot.

Tex, I agree with Nick about Chabot. For trout at Chabot, you might be better off with getting a boat to fish at deeper depths. I haven't been or heard anything about LV recently. Good Luck, and FISH ON!

LV is probably better this time of year, the wind keeps water temps low and you can fish trout all year. Had my best day in 105 degrees weather in the middle of July last year..

Good luck,

I went to Los Vaqueros on saturday for not even a bite. The wind wasn't even blowing, but since the water level has been raised, weeds are all over. Also there has been an algae bloom near the rockwall which was annoying. Didn't see too many people there.
