I was wondering if i can still go for trout in the Mother load area (Pardee, Camanchee, Amador) Any of those lakes still have trout hitting from the bank? i just wanted to catch some for my last trout meal of the season.

I was at Pardee this past weekend. They planted on Saturday around 10:30AM. We fished on the bank across from the boat house. Between the four of us we caught 13 trout, the biggest being 3lb. The bite really slowed down around 3pm. Most of the trout were caught on night crawlers and red/white/blue power bait. Hope this helps. Good luck.

I talk to the lady at the front gate and she said they plant every Saturday, usually between 9-10AM.

FYI Pardee rents pontoon boats and if you are 62 or older they are 1/2 price. We went up Friday and the 4 of us caught 14 fish. When it is hot on a pontoon it is cool with the built in cover and the wind off the water. We went up the river and used power bait and night crawlers.
