It seems like Pardee is a pretty diverse fishery. I have seen scattered reports of a brown or two showing up at Pardee. Is there a good population of them in there? I have never fished Pardee before but love seeing new places and would like to check this place out next week. Any info is much appreciated. Take care fellow fish hunters! 8-)

I think they did plant some browns in there recently.
There are some big ones but they are a challenge to catch. IMO they have plenty of food with kokes being high on their menu. I have seen a 5lb brought into my boat by a buddy, it was caught trolling a silver kastmaster which led me to think they are keying on kokes a lot of the time.

There's been some Browns in there for a long time but they are wiley. Every once in a while a report comes out of a bigun but they are dumping some smaller ones in there now too. I picked up a couple last trip up there.

I brought this very question up to the folks at the Pardee bait shop a week or two ago after I saw the intial post's here about the browns. He stated that the browns caught were NOT planters and had been caught down by the dam.

This does refute one story I read here about a brown from shore by the ramp....just passin' on what I was told.

I have fished that lake 14 years.....no browns so my hat is off to those who get em' there.

A good friend landed a 7+ pounder there this year, I think he caught it up the river arm ;)

I think that at least some of these browns are recent plants. On my one trip down there I washed the Saturday morning plant and there were a few browns mixed in with the bow. We fished to the left of the boat ramp and they were swimming with the planters. Cgagex3 and several others caught some from shore.

For once I must say they people in the bait shop don't have a clue. By the way any brown caught there is a planter just a question of when because they are not a native fish in Pardee. If there are little ones being caught anywhere near the Northern Spillway, which is where the ramp is, they are recent plants. The two I picked up a few weeks ago in the river arm were planters too and were just over a 1lb. I've fished Pardee for over 20 years and never have a seen so many being caught in such a short period so they have to be getting some.
