After debating about going to Camanche or Pardee, my 4 year old daughter says she wants to go out in the boat. Since hearing better boat reports from Camanche, that's where we decided.
We were on the water around 8am. We stopped about half way to Hat Island from the launch and started trolling. 5 minutes later my daughter has one on...as she's reeling it in, my wife hooks one. My daughter lands about a 16 incher. My wife's gets hers to the boat...8 1/2 lbs! Now that's a nice double to start the day. We circled through that area again,,,,nada. Headed to Hat Island and started catching quite few there. We were *4 shy of our limits when it slowed down there. We headed to the dam and caught a few there. On the way back, I hooked a 5 lber at the island. Ended the day with 3 limits.

Rapala F5 in Hot Steel was the hot lure. Caught 7 on it. Second best was Rapals F7 in Bleeding Olive. Also caught few on the F7 Hot Steel.

Was the hog caught on that J5? Bet you can't wait to get back out there? :)

The hog was caught on the Bleeding Olive F7. Also caught a 4 lber on that one. The 5 lber was caught on the HS F7. The F5 caught most of the fish, but not the big ones.

You're right, I can't wait to get out there again!!! :)

Awesome report with some great pics. The little one looks very happy with her results. Did you let her feel the pull on one of those hogs, that would be a kodak moment worth framing.

Thanks for the kind words everyone.

Mackattack - she caught some pretty nice ones herself but we didn't let her hold the rod couple of biggest ones. She's still working on keeping the rod tip up...but getting pretty good at it. :)
We wished we had gotten pictures of her catching fish...shoot, we even had the camcorder. DOH! We were just too darn excited. Next time....

On a side note, we went to Sportman's Warehouse in Roseville yesterday. It looks like you Camanche Fishsniffers have wiped out the Rapala supply...there were hardly any left! I was just there on Thursday and they had quite a few.
