View Full Version : Underwater, Truckee Rainbow!

01-26-2009, 07:45 PM
Sorry for another Truckee river post! I had a few hours today so I took my cousin to the river to play. This is my first underwater video at the river. Both the rainbow and brown were 18". I caught the bow on a black and tan Marabou Jig. Not sure what Mike caught the brown on. The videos not very good, but then again its only my second underwater film.

Tight lines GT.

Hi Golden Trout,

Very nice photos and video. I drove by the Truckee Saturday after picking up a kayak for my wife. I was wondering what the fishing was like lately.

Well done Justin, you've really got those lethargic cold water fish figured out. *I haven't been on the Truckee lately, but I didn't see much reason too... I can't get them to bite. *Folks, he is supernatural at this Truckee River thing. *Nice video, this time you didn't have me saying, "Uh maybe we odda put the camera down and go for the net." ;D*My bad, that 4.5 pound mack in the last video was looking more like dinner than a photo op. [smiley=chowtime.gif] *The best part is we got both! *Nice work on another good little video. *One of these days we might have to colaborate on a full 2-3 minute vid. *Hmm... maybe underwater cutts or something.

Thanks everyone!
I have a ton of ideas. I cant wait until summer to jump off my boat to get some good film from below, Or spring and spawning rainbows at a spot that they come to by the thousands *;)
