View Full Version : Camanche 1/10 Small/Medium/Large!!

Put the boat in at 6:45 this morning. Lines in at 7:00. Heading back towards the Narrows. No bites until 9:00. First fish was a nice one. Weighing in at a firm 5.3 lbs. Then trolled some more for a really slow bite. Then it was around 11:00 and Bam, Rod goes down hard. I forgot how much fun it was trying to net a big fish by your self. Shoot, this hog had me all over my boat. Good thing i got my other rod in, while fighting the fish with the other. When i finally got to see him, WOW another HOG!! Put him on the scale and he weighed out at a even 9.2 lbs. Now it's getting to be around 1:00pm and finally have another grab. Well lets just say this little guy, hit like the BIG one did. Then i thought he came off. Well he didn't, got him into the boat without the net. Maybe 0.9 ounces. Had four grabs during the day, that didn't stick. Maybe that full moon did us in. It sure was bright this morning. Did see some sniffer out there. Crankbait, Troller4life and FishJunky. Not to much going on the radio. It was a slow bite for sure. I couldn't ask for a better day. No fog, Little wind and blue sky's all day. Awesome day on the water. Here are some pictures...

Robbie, that old saying, " Bigger Baits, Bigger Fish, " is so True.....
It seems while using larger Rapalas, that they seem to attrach a
Larger Predator. Those are some Good Looking Trout..............
Thanks for always sharing your info................

Troutwagon: Rich, I will see you up there, at the show.

Crankbait: If you could have seen me trying to net that fish, by myself. He had me, everywhere. Actually went past the boat twice. I did get the other rod in before it got tangled. Don't matter now, he is fillet up and the freezer.

June First: I will be there at the ISE show on Sat. Probably find me around the KP booth or RMT booth. Hope to see you there.

Crankbait: I use Photobucket. If you have any questions, just PM me.

Stonefans: I have even caught those Rainbows on F-13's. Back in Feb. when i caught that 13.76 lbs, was caught on a F-13 in Brown trout pattern. Good luck!!!

Don't give up on this lake. I know the full moon doesn't help. They are in there, just have to move around to find the active ones. Just wish we could get some more rain. Both ramps are a challenge right now.

Looks like fun fish to catch ..whats the water level like it looks decent is the lake shallow, deep or still pretty full compared to others (Malones)

KokMachine83 - That Large and medium fish haven't missed any meals for a long long time. I can almost hear it squeal'n like the Pig it is. Good post. Hope to see you at the ISE on Saturday.
Bilge Rat 8-)

catchandrelease40: The lake is really low. But it is fishable. There are folks around the north shore ramp catching fish from the shore and those that put in some time are doing well trolling. The full moon hasn't helped.

Bilge Rat: Me and Mrs. Koke Machine will be up there late morning to early afternoon. Might see us around the RMT booth or KP booth. Hope to see you up there.
