Being that I haven't fished in 9 days and everything around here is frozen with nice *weather for a change I headed to Pyramid. After dodging the blown over trucks in 395 in Washoe Valley I arrived at Blockhouse at 9:30. Shortly after that fellow Sniffer Fishwish and we started tossing iron. We fished there until around 2 without any luck. I did manage to put 2 additional inches on my biceps from all the casting and jigging. ;D I saw 5 or 6 fish captured in that time including a nice 27 incher by a father and a very excited son. I left at 2:00 and Fishwish decided to stick around until sundown. Just prior to writing this report Fishwish PM'd me to say that he caught *a 20 incher and two more pigs of 27 and 28 inches were caught. Guess I shouldn't have left. :'( Oh well it was a wonderful calm sunny day with clear roads and good fishing companionship. Scott it was a pleasure to finally meet you. Next time we'll get the sweet spot. ;D

Captain..... great photos, you're very talented with the rod and the camera. Sure was a pretty day at a special place. Today, it was all about position. If you weren't 10 ft either side of THE spot and chucking metal 40 yards out, you weren't catching fish. There were a lot of guys scratching their heads. After CC left, I was able to shift down to the prime position, after the lords of the beach left with their limits, and finally get one. The fellow next to me got a 28" brute at 4:15 after nothing all day. The guy with his little boy landed a couple hogs and lost another here, as well. Hot color, if any, would have to be green. Now, I'll prepare to ride out some more winter. Thanks CC. Merry Christmas ALL

Well Richard, at least you got to see a couple of nice ones caught. I didn't go becuase the last weather report I saw didn't look to hot. So, I stayed at home and was bored out of my mind. Hung out with the G.F. and saw some movies... paying my long overdue dues. The worst part was that it was much warmer than expected, and the wind wasn't bad at all. Now that I see the "glass" in the pictures, I really wish I would have been out there. Fishwish seems like a nice guy, I've got to do some fishing with him as well. Nice pics of that nice cutt. At least when somebody gets one that size it keeps your senses on high alert. It is really dissapointing when nobody is catching anything.

Even with the skunk on ya, it beats the alternative. Plus Pyramid is so starkly beautiful. I just love being out there.

I wanted to go down there Saturday, but I was in Big Pine at a funeral. But Friday I said screw it and decided to take the next two weeks off and plan to hit Pyramid at least once, maybe the 23rd. Then, weather permitting I will be at Topaz on the opener. Save a spot so I can launch!!! ;)

Hi Chick.

I am far from being an expert on boats. :-[ On prior occasions I remember your boat as having the top up and been accompanied by lots of barking. :) The flag and stars should have been a dead give away. No handheld. Perhaps Santa will correct this deficit. ;D Merry Christmas to the Queen of Pyramid.
