What an awesome trip - too much fishing to document it all - we were there for 9 days - and fished for 7 (ray had to go back to work for 2 days and i dont drive the boat!) but we had a couple days of thick fog, a couple days of icy temps and all in all great fun, beautiful sunrises and fantastic fishing, most days at least one about 23-24" and fought hard. *We were off the water by 11am most days, a couple by 9 -

I caught all my fish on an orange trolling fly with an action disk, with the exception of a couple toplining with a nighcrawler and seps

Until next summer Eagle!

Here are some pics-

All of us on the front deck before we left

Great photos! Thinking about making one last trip tommorrow. Can you still get a 20 ft aluminum boat at Eagle Lake Resort? Heard you can still make it out if real careful. Wanted to make sure before driving that far.

Great report, we were up there two weeks ago and had the same results, and similar conditions, foggy mornings. Eagle is still my favorite lake and those fish so strong and tasty too.

Well done as usual. Those are awesome fish, some of the finest fighting and eating fish to be had. I got lost for a couple of hours once in the fog on Davis Lake. I thought I was next to the island, when I realized I was way back in some arm in about 2 feet of water. I could only see about 20 feet in front of the boat... this was before I had GPS. I followed the bank all the way to the dam, and then back to the launch, at which time, the fog finally broke up. This was in late November a couple of years ago, and I was the only person up there, kind of unnerving actually.

That is a fine quality catch, a prestine fish 2nd to none, Eagle is a lake on my list for sure, thanks for the insperation.

WoW fishermom those aresure some beautiful fish. Eagle puts out some of the best fish in the state. Nice report as always. Like the weary fisherboy pic, I have seen that look on my daughters' face many a morning.
Now youhave bumped Eagle a few notches higher on my list t get back to.
