My wife and I decided to celebrate our 1 year wedding anniversary at Lake Siskiyou. *We got on the water at 8:30 am Sunday and started hooking up a few minutes later. *The weather was beautiful, and the water temp was 57 degrees. *We caught a lot of new planters, but also a fair share of holdovers. *On Sunday, we boated 26 rainbows. *Monday saw an earlier start, and we boated 48 rainbows and 1 brown. *Here's some pics from the trip...

We stayed at the Mt. Shasta Resort (woodland rooms). Very nice! :)

Not many people camping up at Lake Siskiyou yet, but there will be next month, so book your trip now!!! ;D

P.S. All fish were released unharmed to fight another day!

Looks like a fantastic trip. The water looks great! I am so envious. I have never fished this lake but it sure looks like it would be worth my time. Was one set-up working better than another? Congragts on your anniversary. :)

Happy anniv.and great pictures.Does lake siskiyou allow motorized boats? I read a report from late last year about some great fishing to be had but again there was a picture of a boat with out an engine.

First off PP "Happy Anniversary" second off how on Earth did you find a wife that looks quite happy to spend the your first one out catching fish. I think you found the keeper in the boat. ;D
Nice trip, keep those reports coming.

Quote from pararadise: Does lake siskiyou allow motorized boats?

Yes, they allow all motor types, however, there is a 10 mph speed limit on the lake. *Our original intention was to go to Medicine Lake on Sunday morning but we ran into 2 feet of snow on the road when we were 3 miles from the lake. *Didn't want to deal with that with the boat trailer and all... :'(
