Well left the house thursday night at 11:45 pm half way I was feelin somethin weird in the driveline then when I was climbing the hill on 17 .
2 of my u joints *went out 2 miles from the launch ramp. so what does a die-hard fisherman do, go fishin first. launched at 5:30, no live bait which sucked headed to a couple of spots , well *it was cloudy no wind and calm end the day at 1:30 started having truck on my mind, ended with 3 lings but hooked 8 undersize got 2 on whole squid and 1 one a baby rock cod, Got 12 mixed rock cod on anchovys and clouser minnows and *a dozen rock crab for my brother and myself. my camra got f-up again i left it out in the rain so only got 1 pic. then worked on truck till 7pm in the down poring rain, then drove home got home at 11pm. was up for 46 hours and alot of stress maybe the next opener will go better. But Fishin was still awesome and brought home the goods.
And special Thanks to my good friend Crabman for running me around to get parts.

Hey, at least you got to fish! Great report, sorry about the bad fortune though. Looks like you guys did fine, that ling looks good enough to please the pickiest eater! I lost a u joint last year, dropped the driveline, and put it in four wheel drive, and ran off the front one for the week I was up in Fort Ross. Parts are hard to come by up there, got a new u joint in Willits, Fort Bragg did not have one. It was sunny and warm though! ;)

Kevin, here are the jigs I made today I told you about. I need to get some bigger weighted jigheads, and will make some the size you wanted. Let me know if there is a style that you like, or if yo want something changed up a bit.
