My son and I hit the water at 10am after meeting up with greandpa at Crosby's and headed across the lake to Red and trolled noth toward the Kitchen. Charlie got the 1st (and his 1st ever cutt)and biggest of the day at 35' otw on a large shad rap, 23" around 4lbs, dad hooked the next on a frog lyman 30' otw by the kitchen. Was pretty slow here so we headed for the Needles after talking to Oddie and Oakie on the other side. Got to the Needles around 2 and worked it good with a couple of fish here ahd there and dad piling up the sdr's. I finaly landed a nice male on a FT lyman and then dad put on a clinic on our boat with a FT flatfish ;). Ended the day with 8 to the boat almost as good as Oddie who also came up, sure he will post his tales 8-). Water was FAC, temp started at 42 and was as high as 47 by the Kitchen and 45 at the Needles. Great day on the water with the boy and grandpa. Nice meeting you Oddie and Oakie.

cuhogan, it was my pleasure, its not often you have the opportunit to meet 3 generations on 1 fishing day. the bite was great compared to what it has been, and the weather could not have been better. hope to you all at the pyramid fest. it was nice of charlie to let his grandpa catch the fish, my gk's are not that nice.
be safe out there

Yes it was a great day to be able to fish with both my dad and son.

Look forward to seeing you guys again at the fest or sooner if the weather cooperates ;). Now where your guys story about the big one 8-).

These guys are unconventional also ;) sort of like using the FT Lyman on a sunny day.

We were going to hit it again today but figured we may have trouble on the pass it we stayed (which we would have) for the afternoon bite to come on

Wow, couldn't have asked for better weather. Nice to catch a few fish as well. Good decision on the time to leave. I think it's going to be a mess the next few days.

Outstanding photography... And a great report with three generations of family catching fish. Doesn't get better than that. [smiley=thumbsup.gif]

I love fishing Pyramid, if for no other reason the scenery is the best. But the only pictures I come back with are of Mongo and my dog. :-/

Cuhogn, it was nice chatting back and forth on the radio and then meeting at the Needles and again at the ramp after getting off the water. It was a beautiful day and we all caught fish :) :). Hope you can make it back out there soon, it will get better yet as the weather warms up. I enjoyed meeting you, your dad and your son, 3 generations out catching nice cuthroats on a perfect day. That is the way to go. :)
