Fished Lake Chabot today. I got up early and stopped by McD's for some breakfast. Got to Chabot around 8AM and headed towards Coots landing and fished near it. Had lines out around 8:30. I wasn't expecting much but was pleasantly surprised. Within 5 minutes of casting my rods, I got a bite. This continued out through my stay till 10:30AM. I had 9 bites and managed to get 7 of them. I left with my limit with the biggest fish at 4lbs. The other four fish were around 1-1 1/2 lbs. I was using pink power eggs with the sparkles. Hope this helps you guys out.

Coots landing is about a mile or so from the marina side. raccoon point does pretty well during the winter months, but you will be soon be elbow to elbow by others fishing it.

There is a small sign. The easiest way to know you are there is that Coots Landing has the first dock past the large hill that you must go over to get there. There is also an outhouse and what looks like an old boat launch ramp made of cement just about 50 yards or so from where the trail goes down to the dock.
