Coho at Oroville

Easter weekend caught these coho at oroville. Biggest was almost 14". Caught them at different depths, on surface,10',19'25'. The fish hit pretty hard for how small they were, very fun to catch.

Look what was inside. Also note the 2 rubber clear shad on the bottom of the picture that was also inside.

It was a very nice weekend even though clouds were in the sky and a few rain drops fell. Any time is nice when you are on the water and your fishing.

Looks like there fattening up a bit with all that feed in them. Went out a few weeks ago and caught a few in the 12" range. Hoping to go this upcoming w/e. I also found them fishing out of the Lime Saddle area.

Hayers2, thanks for the good honest Oroville Coho report. Those are some nice looking silvers. What was your top producer? I will wait another month to head up. Can't wait, those fish can fly.

I caught these fish on the northfork with needlefish lures. You are correct rod bender, these small salmon hit really hard and fight pretty hard for thier size, very strong like big kokanee. *I will for sure go back a few times this year, because they are only getting bigger!
