I fished IVR on 3/2/07 I did not get on the water until approximatly noon because i forgot the key to the boat. My lovely wife was kind enough to meet me half way between vacaville and IVR. Wound up catching 2 nice trout and 3 kokanee. I fished around the damn and the east side. I was top lining various lures with a black grub catching the most. I spent the night at IVR hoping to fish 3/3 but the north wind turned IVR into the ocean.

Fished Berryessa 3/4/07 and caught 12 king and 4 trout. I was fishing skiers cove and the narrows. My wife and I had a triple and 3 doubles. We kept 5 for the smoker. Fish were caught on blue and silver criplure at 35 to 45 feet. The trout were caught on the surface using a blue and silver kastmaster. Hot bite from 8 to 10 am and then the bite died.

Thanks for the report; I guess IVR was fishable afterall. Berryessa sure seems to be hot. Nice fishing.

Wondering if there was any size to the salmon that you caught at Berryessa and if you tried slingblades w/ kokanuts or humdingers.

Thanks in advance for your response.

most were 12 to 13 inches. one was 14 inches. the only lures we tried were the criplures and a silver apex. hopefully the big ones will be showing soon.

Thanks for the report.

Your wife went above and beyond. She deserves something special for that.
