I launched out of the north ramp at 7:30 this AM. *I went up to Big Hat Island and started trolling. *I trolled around the island 3 times and then headed for the dam. *A couple of times back and forth then headed down the south shorline to Little Hat Island. * I then headed back to Big Hat and then back towards the north ramp. *I had 3 hits but nothing would stick. *:( *I saw *a couple of guys catch about a 5 #er at Little Hat. *I tried everything in the box and speeds from 1-2 mph. I toplined and ran the DR from 10-25 feet. *The water temp was 51-54. *The visibility was about 6 feet. *The water was choppy at first but turned to glass by noon. *A good day on the water despite no fish. *No fish.....no fish to clean. ;D *Took a couple of pics while I was waiting for the big one.

8 AM at Big Hat.

Some of the arsenal.

The water was like a mirror!!!

Out of the water and headin for home.

Kokoloco, You didn't try any Rapala's or Grubs? Apex's are working up there too. Going out Sat. again. Hope we get into some fish. At least you had a great day on the water. You will get them next time. We report on trip this weekend. (Koke Machine)...

Bummer you didn't get em this trip. Something I have found on Commanche, don't use dodgers. FIsh the lures wayyyyy back with a lite leader and no dodger or flasher.

That flat calm water didn't help you at all either.
