When I retired 3 years ago I do my fishing on weekdays,But I am going to try McClure Sat. From what I hear this lake has slowed so there shouldn't be that much boat traffic.
My son is moveing out of state, so this is our last fishing trip for awhile.
Hopefully we can do some catching along with the fishing.

Don,

I have fished McClure the past two weekends with a few nice fish to account for time spent. The lake is a little slow, as most are, but rolling shad down deep has produced some real nice kings. Check some of the past few posts and it will give you some idea of what and where.

Hey, catching fish could interfere with all that time with your son. You are lucky. My son moved out of state suddenly a few weeks ago (FED Hiway Dept) cuz of work and we didn't have the chance. Good luck and enjoy.

I don't have any info on the lake, but I just wanted to wish you and your son a great trip.

I think Dan Clark fishes it alot, hopefully he can fill you in. I believe however a rolled shad 60-80ft should do well and go a litlle shallower for the trout.
