I tried the West Fork of the Carson a few weeks ago and it was flowing high and mean with but one bite. Anyone know how the flow is and if any fish are being caught?

Here's the site to see the flows for the East Carson near Markleeville:
It is easiest to fish when it is under 1000 CFS.

Will be there this weekend from Friday evening to Sunday Afternoon.
Taking a guide out on Tahoe Saturday morning. A first for me.

You can still catch fish in the high water. Just fish the eddies close to shore or where the split river comes back together.

With the high flows this year, many parts of the river have changed significantly.

Went by there yesterday (6/7) & it's still CRANKIN'! Nothing but white water below Hope Valley. Saw a couple guys at the bridge at Pickett's Junction & they said they'd been there about an hour & nothing. Last week I saw a guy there with a nice stringer. Good luck!

Thanks for the info guys. I'll be heading up 88, 89 to Tahoe this weekend. Sounds like I should spread it out and try multiple spots along the way instead of rushing up to Hope Valley and finding nothing going on again.
