Ok I know this question is probably asked all the time but I've used the search and can't quite find what I'm looking for. On the powermouse, what size treble hook do you use? And when trolling do you run it by itself, or with a dodger? What about leader length? Thanks.

14, itself, 24"

Thanks Dennis. Just what I was looking for.

Is the PowerMouse only to be used for trolling?

I was there Sunday the 26th and tried a PowerMouse on a treble hook and every time i would retrieve the bate i would loose the PowerBate.

What's the deal? I am thinking about going this Saturday.

Thanks in advance,

Personally I've never used the powermouse before but after reading some old threads, it sounds like bank anglers use it too. I don't know what to do about the powerbait falling off though. :-/

the newer stuff seems to stay on longer, just check it often and have one ready to go after bringing one in...

Back in nov./dec. guys were slammin' them off the dam with a powermouse. They would slow retrieve with a bubble.

Power eggs will stay on better and won't make a mess like power bait. *Try threading two chartreuse power eggs onto a #6 hook and then on up the leader. *Then thread half a nightcrawler halfway onto the hook. *Push the eggs back down to the crawler. *I've had good luck with this from the shore and on a slow troll in the boat. *Good luck! ;D
