The Hali bite out of SC has been wide open last few days so myself and a buddy decides to take his boat out today. We lauch out of SC at 5:45 am and head over to Bocci Boy to pick up live bait.Live bait in tank and out of the mouth of the harbor we head in flat water.
We headed down to the Towers off 26th ave and set up to the left of the radio towers for our first drift. After a hour of no takers we decided to move when I hooked up as I started to reel up.Bendo in the rod and fish peeling line and up to the boat 1st flattie of the day at 17lbs.We stick it out for another hour and we move down to off O'Neills house were my friend puts a 10lb flattie in the boat. After trying a few diffrent spots with the fleet spread out we decided to run to the Lighthouse off of West Cliff.First drift my friend nails a 20lber in the box and 5 minutes later I hook up with a 19lber.Total count for the day was 4 flatties 10lb to 20lb and a mixture of rockfish also. All flatties were hooked in 35' to 45' water.Heard of a few fish here and there from other boaters.
