Hi, I was up there last week. Caught 2 in 2 hours and then had to head back to the office.
I fished around 35 feet down.

Where you fishing on top or with downriggers?

10 to 30 feet, one rod lead core, the other nothing but the dodger lure and about 150 feet behind the boat.

Question for those who fish Sonoma? Is bankfishing for trout a winning method? I've hiked into Lake Sonoma and seen lots of deep water close to shore, which would make for a good trout lake. Your thoughts please. ;D

Never tried it. I see more people than you would think fishing from the bank in some prety remote locations. I think most of them are fishing for bass, but I don't know that for sure. The areas I usually catch fish are well within reach of bank fishermen if you can get to that bank.
