Took my uncle fishing at UVR yesterday from 4-7pm. Caught 2 rainbows and a bright red hook nosed koke. The Koke was about 18" long. We let it go for spawning.

Did you see any signs of the Macks coming to the top yet Hillbilly? And how's that boat running? ;)

Good catchin S_H. How was the wind up there. Last two times in the evening I have been blown out. Water temp? What'd ya get the bows on?

All fish were on a red wedding ring behind a watermelon dodger toplining. Water temp was 57 degree's. Wind was great the lake was flat. We trolled the dam area and over by the point. Macks were still holding at about 50'. I'm sure they will rise in a few more weeks of this cool weather.

The boat is running great. We took a ride around the lake yesterday and it ran like a champ. The only problem is that slipping prop hub at about 4000 rpm. But at 4000 rpm I'm planed out and cruising right along.

I am wondering about somthing though. This is probably a topic for the motors board but when I first start the motor after it has sat for a week or so I have to give it a shot of starting fluid before it will fire. After the motor fires up and runs for 5 min or so it will fire up the rest of the day reguardless how many hours I let it sit on the lake.

Thanks for the upate on the Mack's, 50' is good news. Maybe PB and I will get over there before the snows close off the pass from Georgetown.

BTW UVR is back down to the bottom ramp. The water is really flowing out of UVR. They must be getting ready for winter run off.

Is your motor carbed or fuel injected. It sounds like your carb bowl is draining out. It might be time for a rebuild before long.

It's carberated

This is a stupid question, so please don`t be offended. Are you making sure to pump the fuel line ball till firm? Also are you sure that your choke is working properly, is it elec? If so then set the hook is probably correct. May be time for a rebuild on the carb.
