Went to Folsom to fish for some "Kings" caught a few small ones and a nice trout. Got my grand daughter to hold it for a photo after we got home. Notice the sandwich bags on her hands because she didn't want fish slime on her. Caught it near the dam, 50' down on a needle fish.

WOW! That's a good looking fish for Folsom. How big was it?

Sorry, left that out 22" long and 4lb 13 oz, he did a lot of head shaking during the fight.

I can sum up that fish in 3 words:

Great fish! Now we want all the details, depth, speed, lure, etc.

Depth was 50' in 100' of water, speed 1.2 mph, lure was a white needle fish with a red eye applied, green/silver dodger

Does dogger color make a difference?

If dodger color doesn't make a difference why do we all own at least 50 different colors in our tackle box? Nice fish A50 ;)

lol, well, you can see how experienced i am with the things. what do the diffrent colors do? and what types of situations are they used in? (sorry for the hijack, just wondering).

So is that nice fish a Trout or a King? In looking at the tail it seems to lean towards a King from what I can tell. I like that sandwich bag concept... I'll have to keep a few around for my daughters as well.

Yea I'm not too sure. That looks more like a salmon to me.
