I have a friend that is going to fish South Fork Reservoir and am looking for reports from anyone who has fished there. South Fork is located just outside of Elko, NV.

Thanks,

Brian

The last I heard was about two weeks ago. One of our technicians was up there and this is what he told me.*They were catching 18-22 inch Rainbows/Cuttbows and some catfish near the dam early with inflated crawlers, wooly worms or minnow imitation lures of various types, chicken livers for the cats. *the bite would shut off about 9:00am. ;D

I just found this report on the NDOW website.

SOUTH FORK RESERVOIR

Fishing is still best early in the morning. Small bass are being taken in water 10 to 15 feet deep between the state park campground and the dam as well as along the face of the dam. Larger bass are probably just a bit deeper in 15 to 20/25 feet of water. Use rubber gear and crank baits. Large catfish are still being taken below the dam along with trout and some bass.
